My Little Box | February 2015

I have been a subscriber of Glossybox for the last year, year and a half. But as the boxes kept dropping through my door, I become less and less impressed, and bored with the repetition of products... So I headed online to have a mooch of other monthly subscription boxes I could try.
Now, My Little Box has hit the UK, and yes, I know, it's been here since September last year - bit disappointed I didn't jump on this box sooner! This is my first box, and I couldn't be more impressed. So impressed, that I've cancelled my Glossybox in favour of this French beauty - My Little Box!

I ripped off the outer packaging, to reveal the Frenchie Box, and a gorgeous quote from the elegant Parisian women herself - Ines de La Fressange. "Being unafraid of not being liked is the best way to be liked". She teamed up with My Little Box to create this beautiful February box.

Delving a bit deeper in to this cutely ribboned box, I found a drawstring bag containing a few beauty bits, a phone case, and a jar of messages. To receive a monthly box that isn't just makeup/beauty was so refreshing that I probably got too excited!

I was dubious about the phone case, only because I have a massive phone! (I am the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, that can take the many jokes like 'ohh get your laptop out!' etc. etc!) I was very impressed that it actually did go in the case to start off with, however it falls slightly short at the top, so the case will be used for my much smaller iPod instead! It's got a little pocket at the front for your headphones, train tickets, anything you need that you don't want to lose! The jar of messages consists of 'comforting quotes, pick me ups, and tips on how to confront your wardrobe in the morning'. Lovely idea to brighten up each morning, or to make the end of your day better!

I opened the drawstring bag to find some DHC Blotting Papers, the pack contains 100 sheets - to help keep a shiny face under control! The L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Brow Artiste Shaper, which is a 3-in-1 eyebrow pencil. I received the shade 04 Dark Brunette, which is a bit darker than I'd usually use for my brows, but would be nice for an ombre brow, or when I'm feeling like having a more dramatic brow day! One of the many nice things about My Little Box, is that every month you receive a product from their in-house beauty range - My Little Beauty. This months product was the Complexion Enhancer - Glowing Skin. It has a slight tint to it, smells lovely, and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth! Now the last product was the most exciting for me. I've heard so much about this brand, but never splashed out on trying any of their products. The brand - By Terry. The product - Terrybly Khol Pencil in the shade 3 - Bronze Generation. It's a beautiful greeny black colour with gold flecks running through it. I've been wearing it on my upper lash line, smudged out a bit, then reapplied over the top to give a more dramatic look. Love it! 

As this was my first box, I had the first box discount, meaning the box was only £11. Normally the box is £11 plus £3.95 p&p, so £14.95. I added up the contents of this box and it came to a whopping £64.49! That's insane value for money. All in all, I am so impressed with My Little Box, and can't wait till the March box arrives on my doorstep!
