Ok, this post might come as a surprise...you're thinking Glossybox? You unsubscribed right? Well I thought I had, and technically yes, yes I have. However I was a day too late for the cut off point for the next months box, so low and behold, the last of my Glossybox boxes. How many times can one person mention the word box? haha
Like the last box, I didn't hold up too much hope. I did have a look on their website prior to receiving it, with all fingers crossed it would be half decent. I'd say I'm split half and half on this one.
Let's get the dissappointment out of the way first...
The two products that I'm not excited about are the Dove Advanced Hair Series Youthful Vitality Shampoo and Conditioner (FS £5.99 for 250ml) and the ncLA Nail Lacquer in the shade I Only Fly Private (FS £13 for 15ml). Last time I checked I didn't need anything to replenish my old hair - I'm 20 not 200! I'll probably end up giving these to someone else. And the nail polish is a bright orange, that would probably make my skin look a horrendous shade! Would be nice if you had a tan though!
There's a few decent picks in here and lets end this post on a high.
The first is something I wouldn't have picked up myself, that's one thing I love about monthly subscription boxes, they open your eyes to new products. It's the Sleek Pout Paint in the shade Pin Up 157 (full size £4.99). I've read that a little goes a long way with this product, so the tube should last a long time! I'm intrigued to see how long it lasts on the lips, and how well it stands up with eating and drinking. Only time will tell! Expect an instagram post soon!
The next product I can't wait to try! It's the Naobay Moisturizing Peeling (FS £13.71 for 100ml). It's a facial milk that has natural peeling particles from the Acai palm tree. It contains olive oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, along with Gotu Kola extract that soothes the skin after the peel. I had no idea what Gotu Kola was, so had a quick search and found out it's a small plant that has so many uses - in various places in Asia its used in drinks, salads, medicines, and here in this peel! Will report back on this interesting product!
This box contained another Essence mascara, this time it was the Lash Princess Volume Mascara. In a previous box I received the I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara. I loved it! I've only used the latest one once so far, but I'm not disappointed! It has a cobra head shaped wand which coats every lash with volume and length! One thing that's great about this mascara, the price. It is only £3.30! Bargain!
So Goodbye Glossybox, you were good while you lasted!
Are you subscribed to any monthly boxes? If so, which? And have you received any interesting products?
