Real Techniques Love!

Real Techniques brushes, do you own them? If not, why not?! I own the Core Collection and Starter Set. Both are amazing.

Core Collection

The brushes in this set are all you need for a flawless base!
The brush I get the most use out of is definitely the contour brush (1) The tapered shape gets into the space under the eye perfectly to get rid of any unwanted shine and chisels out those cheekbones! It is perfect for applying -
  • Powder contour/blush
  • Cream contour/blush
  • Setting powder
  • Under eye concealer
The buffing brush (4) is the next best for me. Great for making sure everything is flawless, all lines are erased and skin looks stunning. It's perfect for applying -
  • Foundation
  • Setting powder
The detailer brush (3) perfect for -
  • concealing those spots with precision!
  • applying lipstick, and for tidying up the edges for that crisp, flawless lip!
The pointed foundation brush (2) is the only brush I don't really use. If anybody has the perfect use for this, or how I can incorporate it in to my daily routine, let me know!

Starter Set

I can't fault this set in the slightest! Every brush has multiple uses and are great in all aspects!
The deluxe crease brush (1) is a small dense brush, and by far my most used brush in this set for me- daily use, without fail! Don't limit this brush just to the eyes! Perfect for -
  • applying base shadow - obviously!
  • blending in concealer
  • applying product in the smaller, hard to get to areas - around the nose, etc.
  • tidying up brows
  • ...basically its the perfect brush!
The base shadow brush (2) is great for -
  • applying a wash of colour all over the eye
  • creating that perfect contoured crease
  • packing on a solid amount of colour to the outer corner to give your eyes that definition!
The accent brush (3) is another firm favourite of mine. It's many uses include -
  • applying liner - great for gel liner!
  • smudging shadow close to the lash line
  • perfect for anything to do with the lower lash line!
The fine liner brush (4) is the one you want it you need to perfect that cat eye liner look! This brush makes it super easy to apply gel and liquid liner. Not much to say apart from that, but this brush is the one for liner!

The brow brush (5) is another one I don't have a lot of use for. I find it is too large to do my brows with, I prefer a really thin, fine angled brush to fill in my brows. Again, any other uses for this brush, give me a shout!

These sets come with a case/stand that is so useful for travelling and storage. The double use of having the stand is great for when you've cleaned your brushes and want them to dry properly!

What are your favourite brushes? Do you share my love of Real Techniques?
